We have volunteer opportunities for everyone - just bring your positive vibes and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
Our volunteers help with everything from planting flowers and trees on Build Days, mentoring and teaching students in a classroom setting, coordinating technology behind the scenes, and more! Whatever your interest and expertise, the community needs your help.

Assist in guiding hands-on art projects, help with garden installations and manual labor, and support event logistics like loading, unloading, and tabling for community engagement.

Help us design our programs, creating social media content, on-site event photography, videography and filmmaking, and creating promotional flyers or materials.

Donate specialized skills and expert knowledge such as carpentry, GIS mapping, accounting, research, and serve as co-teachers, mentors, or administrative support.

High schoolers can earn 20+ hours of Montgomery County SSL credit by joining our seasonal Design+Build cohorts, with more opportunities to earn SSL hours at events all year-round.

Join our workshop team! Designed for high school seniors or recent graduates. Assist teaching artists with setup, facilitation, and iPads for our youth and senior programs.

Share your expertise to guide our programs. We are always looking for designers, artists, and environmental experts to mentor our teens and inform community projects, and extra hands to make everything happen.
While all volunteering is greatly appreciated, we have a few key positions needed to help us deliver our programs at the highest level. These include:
1. Design+Build Mentor
2. Environmental Expert
3. Artists
4. Social Media/Photographer
5. Community Outreach Leads
