
Creative Mischief sparks imagination and curiosity through art and nature. These hands-on workshops introduce children to design thinking, environmental creativity, and teamwork in a fun, supportive setting.
What You’ll Do:
·Explore art and design through drawing, planting, and small-scale building projects.
How It Works: Workshops are offered after school, on weekends, and during school breaks at partner sites such as community centers, parks, and arts spaces. Sessions balance learning, play, and creative expression.
How to Join: Programs are open to children ages 6–12 in Montgomery County, Maryland. All materials are provided.
DESIGN+BUILD | TEENS 13-19
Design+Build engages teens in hands-on, student-led design and service-learning projects that improve local environments. Participants learn the fundamentals of design thinking, landscape design, and environmental stewardship while collaborating on real projects in their community.
What You’ll Do:
How It Works: Programs are hosted seasonally at partner sites such as BlackRock Center for the Arts and community green spaces throughout Montgomery County. Sessions run for 5 weeks and combine classroom learning, design practice, and fieldwork.
SECOND BLOOM| ADULTS & SENIORS
Overview: Second Bloom offers creative, restorative workshops for adults and seniors that explore the connection between art, nature, and well-being. Participants engage in guided art-making, gardening, and design activities that promote mindfulness, connection, and community care.
What You’ll Do:
· Participate in small-group creative workshops led by teaching artists and designers.
· Explore topics like native plants, seasonal change, and personal storytelling through art.
· Create individual and collective works that enhance shared spaces.

How It Works: Workshops are offered throughout the year at local community centers, libraries, and partner sites. Sessions range from one-day experiences to short series. No experience required, and all materials are provided.
